The Best City Skyline Views in Raleigh, NC

When traveling, I always work really hard to find amazing views. While these are generally amazing views of nature, there’s something to say about a perfect city view as well. Here are our favorite locations where you can find the best city skyline views in Raleigh, NC.

Boylan Avenue Bridge

Boylan Avenue Bridge has quickly become one of Raleigh’s most visited destinations when looking for an incredible skyline view. Touted as one of the first bridges built to extend over the North Carolina Railroad, the location is so easy to get to. In order to get a great picture, I suggest you either park on the street or in one of the close-by parking lots and walk to the bridge. The low volume of traffic and width of the sidewalk makes it really easy to get a terrific shot.

The Dillon

The Dillon is an apartment building located in the Warehouse District in Downtown Raleigh, and has an amazing view of the skyline. If you enter next to Barcelona Wine Bar’s Patio (whose white brick facade makes an amazing photo backdrop), you can take the elevator up to the ninth floor. Walk through the public lobby, and outside to enjoy the view. Please note that you can only access the ninth floor Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm and on Saturday from 7am-1pm.

Dorothea Dix Park

Dorothea Dix Park is a spacious city park with a lot of green space and even flower fields. While most people come to the park during the summer for pictures in the stunning sunflower field, another year-long option is the skyline backdrop. This location has quickly become one of our favorite places to visit, and I especially love the juxtaposition of the green areas with the city in the background.
